Performed in support of AC/DC's 7th studio album, also titled Back in Black, this tour was the heavy metal band's first with lead singer Brian Johnson and featured, as the opening acts, early performances by bands now considered pioneers of classic rock, including Def Leppard and ZZ Top. The Back in Black album became one of the most successful in music history while the tour helped cement AC/DC as one of the most popular bands, of the early 1980s.
