Released on April 11, 1980, British Steel was Judas Priest’s 6^th studio album and their first with drummer, Dave Holland, who was with the band until 1989. As the follow up to their 1978 release, Killing Moon, British Steel found Judas Priest reprising a more commercial radio-friendly style form of heavy metal and featured the single, Breaking the Law, which became one of Judas Priest’s career defining hits. British Steel was Judas Priest’s first gold album in the US, and it subsequently went platinum.
