Judas Priest to Release 18th Album, ‘Firepower’
Judas Priest just released the title track, “Firepower” for their upcoming 18th studio album. The album is coming out March 9th, and is the second album since Richie Faulkner replaced guitarist K. K. Downing.
Firepower is co-produced by Tom Allom, who worked on Judas Priest’s 80’s hits in the past, and Andy Sneap.
"Tom Allom has got this classic metal thing," lead singer Rob Halford said. "And Andy is a bit more of a 'modern metal producer' but his thinking is a little bit different to Tom's. And I think to get this balance between that classic, old-school metal to what Andy's world is was just a remarkable coalescence."
Judas Priest also announced the release of a limited edition of 300 metallic silver colored cassette tapes, and a North American spring tour. The tour will start in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on March 13th and end in San Antonio, Texas on May 1st. Exciting news for Judas Priest!
