As you may already have heard, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has released the 2024 version of its annual list of nominees for induction.Every year, when these get announced, I am surprised by a couple of things: the bands and artists being nominated for the first time (because I thought would have been inducted ages ago) and others who I wonder if they really should be included at all.  I say this because the music is from a different genre, i.e. hip-hop.  I'm not saying hip-hop is ba …

  It's going to feel a lot like the early 1990s, during the fall of 2022, as The Smashing Pumpkins and Jane's Addiction are going to be co-headlining a tour of North America. Called The Spirits on Fire Tour, the concerts will begin on October 2, in Dallas, Texas and end on November 19, at the Hollywood, Bowl in LA.  Tickets are on sale now. In case you haven't heard yet, today (October 18, 2016) the official list of nominees for the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction was announced.
