Description
This Pink Floyd vintage concert t shirt is from the classic rock band's Animals 1977 US Tour.
Performed to promote their tenth studio album, also titled Animals, which was released on January 23, 1977, the Animals Tour, also titled In the Flesh Tour, featured some of the most elaborate stage presentations up to that time, including huge inflatable puppets, waterfalls, and canopies that would rise to protect the band from the elements. To promote the Animals Tour, Pink Floyd created massive and aggressive marketing campaigns, from taking out full page adverts in the New York Times and Billboard Magazine to hosting a full parade in New York City, to promote their shows at Madison Square Garden.
Spotlighting Pink Floyd Animals US Tour 1977 along with the flying pig, from the Animals album cover, on both sides, our men's unisex 100% pre-shrunk ring-spun cotton navy blue fashion concert tee lists all of the US cities where these concerts were performed, with distressed effects for a vintage look. The image of the Battersea Power Station on the album cover was designed by Storm Thorgerson and features an inflatable pig floating between two of the chimneys of the power station. Over time the pig has become a symbol for anti-establishment protests and it was recently used to announce a new Pink Floyd exhibition.
