Performed to promote Skid Row's second studio album, also titled Slave to the Grind, this concert tour commenced, in 1991, with Skid Row as the opening act, for Guns N' Roses and concluded, in 1992, with Skid Row, as the headliner.
The Slave to the Grind album was released on June 11, 1991 and became the first heavy metal release to chart at number 1 in the Billboard 200. By 1998, Slave to the Grind was certified 2 times Platinum, with over 2 million copies sold.
