Description
This ZZ Top concert fashion tshirt is from the classic blues rock band's 1983-1984 Eliminator Tour.
Beginning on May 12, 1983, and featuring Quiet Riot, Jon Bon Jovi and Sammy Hagar as the various opening acts, the Eliminator Tour was performed to promote the Eliminator album, ZZ Top's eighth studio release, which reached store shelves on March 23, 1983.
Eliminator became ZZ Top's most successful album and saw the band heading into a new musical and promotional direction. On the Eliminator album, ZZ Top began including synthesizers, drum machines and sequencers into their songs, as they had become inspired by the growing popularity of New Wave. In addition, the band utilized music videos in a way they hadn't in the past, to help promote the album. With the singles Legs, Gimme All Your Lovin, Got Me Under Pressure, Sharp Dressed Man and TV Dinners all receiving heavy rotation on MTV and radio, ZZ Top was introduced to a brand new audience. The Eliminator album is ranked at number 398 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time and number 39 in the 100 Greatest Albums of the 1980s.
Our men's unisex ZZ Top Eliminator 1983-1984 Tour tee is made from 100% black heather cotton and spotlights the famous ZZ Top logo, Eliminator Tour 1983-1984 and the artwork of the band's classic Ford coupe, from the front cover of the Eliminator album.
